The Good Samaritan Elvis

“I don’t think that anyone should try to capitalize on Elvis in moneymaking schemes, but I do believe that The King (as Elvis was known) would appreciate an individual giving of their talents and resources to help people in need.

“We must never forget that many people go through life suffering health or employment problems, or the after-effects of natural disasters and other unexpected events”.

“When I was twelve years old I dreamed about being a person that would be remembered as someone who cared, and be able to prove it, before being laid to rest. At 13 years old I began singing in the adult choir in a small town. At 22 I experienced salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.”

“Many of my friends made fun of me because, before salvation experience, I often played rock’n’roll music. It was then I ask the Lord to show my friends that my experience was real by doing something miraculous. At 23 I recorded a gospel album in Charlotte, NC, at Arthur Smith Studios. Soon thereafter, at the urging of the director of the Crippled Children’s Society I was singing on television in Charleston, South Carolina. I was astonished!”
“Later, I sang on that same stage with
the Cathedral Quartet, one of the premier gospel groups in the US and abroad. Soon thereafter my career was interrupted, as Elvis’ was, and I became a full-time member of the South Carolina National Guard. I decided to become a career soldier and in 1997, attained 20 years service and retired with an honorable discharge. Miracles do happen! I never fathomed becoming a Christian Elvis impersonator. I asked the Lord to show me how I could salute HIM. On September 11, 2001, I finished writing a country gospel song called “One Way To Heaven”. One year later I was able to record that song.
